A Rich Life Moment is any moment, activity or experience that brings a feeling of richness into your life. We say we want it, but we don't know what it looks like or how to obtain it. The answer to the question of what joy looks like is unique to each of us. Happiness is the innermost human nature. We struggle hard to obtain happiness in our daily life. But, we don't really experience it, rather we are ignorant of it. The basic question is, can we really experience and enjoy happiness? What we think we inevitably become. We are self-fulfilling prophecies, by the thoughts we choose, which influence our feelings, and compel us to act in certain ways. What we think influences how we feel which influences what we do. Everyone wants to be happy but not everyone knows how to achieve this. The first step to finding happiness in your life is to become more aware of it. There are certain steps that you can do to increase your awareness and it is best to know what they are. Find Happiness in all that you do If you are one of those people that spend a lot of time doing the things you don't enjoy doing then you may be in a bit of a pickle. You have a great job but can't seem to get along with the boss. You have a terrible job with great pay but nonetheless you still hate your job. There is one constant in life and that is life is always changing. No matter how much we plan or try to control it, life will always throw us curve balls making us change in the moment. The good news is that we are built for adaption. Without even thinking about it our bodies are adapting to the environment that we live in. Find peace of mind is something that everyone strives for. From the time we begin our adult working life, we are inoculated with the belief that we should plan, save and direct substantial amounts of our energy toward being ready for retirement. Yet, we live a retired lifestyle for an average of sixteen years, and work for nearly 40. So where is the wisdom of focusing on the future, when it is so distant and such a small portion of our adult life? Some people think that our usefulness expires when we reach fifty-five -- that you need to get out of the way, go play golf or watch TV, and let the youngsters have all the fun. I think that idea is hooey and that our best years are now. This article introduces the three secrets to happiness after retirement. It is not what labor we do that makes us important. It is not our job that is unique. It is the expression of our lives lived that is unique, and we can and must do that even at "work" in order to not only bless our own lives, but all life. Deadlines are a natural part of the universe. There is no need to get stressed and resist them. If there are deadlines in a company, that means there will be deadlines in each department, and then deadlines put on each employee. The law of cause and effect is seen in action, the original cause, a deadline to the client, trickles down to every link in the chain of creating what the client wants. If there are deadlines in the universe and the planet, there will be deadlines in all of our material world and lives. Everything material will one day come to an end, be it the planet, the universe, and most definitely, our life. Pass it on. Do you do it? Will you wait that extra second to hold a door open for someone walking towards it. Or do you quickly act like you did not see them and only worry about you? Walking into a clothing store, do you initiate the first smile or "hello" or do you hide and wait for the sale associate? Or if they say "hello" do you ignore them? If you said "yes" to any of the above or one you can think of, you need help, as you are suffering. Let's change that. For the last century, psychological science has been focused primarily on fixing what was broken - helping depressed or anxious people get to a functional place. But in 1998, the American Psychological Association expanded the mission of psychological science to also include what makes life worth living. As a result top psychologists and neuroscientists started rigorous studies in people who are happy, well-balanced and making a positive difference in the world. They uncovered what habits and ways of looking at life were core to these people's emotional success then systematically tested them in more typical populations. When you're with your best friend, levels of stress hormones are reduced during stressful circumstances such as peer rejection, bullying or an argument. For most of us, we strive to achieve a dangerously high expectation that we can juggle all of the aspects that we want in our lives on a long term basis. We also believe, that if we drop one of these aspects of our lives, then all of the other things that we have been juggling will also fall all around us, causing us to hit rock bottom. Hitting our version of rock bottom is the one thing that we consistantly work hard at avoiding at all costs. Yet when it happens, it truley can be the best thing that ever happened to us. With the pressure on people from modern life it can get harder to find the key to your happiness. Like many others, in the search you can encounter many ways to find daily happiness keys. So when you find it how do you go about turning the key towards the life you imagine? After all it isn't always easy to change even if you want to and you know that it is good for you. True happiness is kept within ourselves. So the best way to insure you believe in happiness is to first look at what you already have access to, inside of you. The truth is that most of us spend a lot of time worrying. These worries are rarely about what is happening right now; instead they tend to be about what may or may not happen in the future. In this article the author shares tips that will help you learn to replace worry with curiosity and BE HAPPY. Life is about having several different savings accounts, checking accounts, and even some secret accounts. I am reminded of grandma who always had a few nuggets to help you out when you wanted that ice cream cone or that extra piece of candy. It is about having a piggy bank for yourself, your wife, for each child. A life of options and choices is about having a money change jar, you know the one, it is the one you throw your extra change into when you come into your house. It is also the one you ask all members of your immediate family to put their extra change into for a trip to Disneyland. Our world is big enough for one day. When we pile on stressful thoughts of the past or anxious imaginings for the future, both involving things we cannot control, we give up the present, and we give up our peace. Our world is big enough for one day. Many people fail to surrender to various circumstances in life where they would be better served if they adopted this philosophy or attitude simply because they don't really understand the difference between surrendering to something and giving up or in. Surrender - yield to a strong emotion, influence, or temptation or to yield or submit to some inner or outer condition or force. To give up or quit - to abandon a pursuit, desire dream or goal that you have devoted time, energy, time or resources to. One of the most burdensome attitudes of approach that you can have is letting your self-worth and your choice of what matters be determined by, be a function of, or be greatly influenced by what others say and think about you. Why? Because if you give your power away to anyone else you interact with, then you put yourself in a highly vulnerable position. Finding happiness and fulfillment does not necessarily have to suffer in the midst of solitude or absence of a relationship. One can find still find ways of how to be happy even when alone. Eduardo is a man who has his share of problems (wife leaving, low paying job, uninvolved kids) and yet who made a decision to be happy. He learned to see the good instead of the bad and today feels deep joy for the abundance of life. We've been taught that happiness has to do with money, possessions, status, power, etc. But how many people seem to "have it all" and are not happy. Perhaps the source of happiness is inside not outside. As each day passes with all its distractions, plans, goals and activities it is often very difficult to only pay attention to those events, words of others and circumstances that strengthen rather than oppose our actions, thoughts, behavior and outcomes. Most people tend to go through their days and life in auto-pilot only reacting to circumstances rather than taking a conscious pro-active approach to life with all its uncertainty, challenges and opportunities. What exactly is attention and why is it so important? We all go through our daily tasks with such speed and determination that sometimes we look back and realize we are not stopping to enjoy those wonderful little things that make life worth living. We realize we've been so busy being busy that we didn't stop to smell the roses. What's more is you may not realize that embracing gratitude is a critical component of your health and well-being. Taking the action to truly be happy can often times take a lot of courage. What are you willing to do for your happiness? How is peace to be nurtured within our hearts? It's such a fine question. It's a question with no pat response. For the pat response is ignorance confounded by notions for peace never further from the truth. Let us never take peace for granted. Perhaps it's not until we've lost our peace that we find how irreplaceably rare it can be in reclaiming it, let alone retaining it. I woke up feeling bad and generally full of complaints but after visiting some children whom I found in a pathetic condition I had to reflect on my situation and appreciated what I have.
